    16 Days activism Campaign organized by X-Pose Nepal


    Dear Sir/ Mam,

     

    From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day, and the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign is a time to galvanize action to end violence against women and girls around the world. The international campaign originated from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute coordinated by the Center for Women's Global Leadership in 1991.

    X-Pose Nepal, a non-profit, non-political social organization which is working in to reduce violence against and child abuse since 2005, is also going to organize an Awareness Program on December 9, 2016 in Patan during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

    In this campaign, X-pose Nepal has thought to involve youth as a main stakeholders because young people has always been a strong driving force for change and can use their knowledge, power and passion to challenge negative attitudes, gender stereotypes and behaviour that set in early and lead to violence and abuse which is exited in our society.

    So,

    LET'S UNITE TOGETHER, RAISE VOICE, PREVENT VAW And SEXUAL HARASSMENT

     

    The participation process in the program:

    X-pose Nepal has come with a new idea to make the program more energetic, informative and sustainable. It has made a high quality T-shirt with slogan and participant needs to get it as a registration fee which costs NRs 200. Raise fund will be used to conduct different activities against violence against women and child abuse.

    Date of Registration: 11th Nov to 8th Dec

    Date: 9th December, 2016

    Duration of Program: 2 hours

    Location: Program starts from Patan Durbar Square-Pulchowk-Jawalakhel-Lagankhel and again gathered at Patan Durbar Square

    To boost up the passion of the youth who will work voluntarily to make this program successful will be provided a certificate of participation. X-pose Nepal would like to request to all youth to join this program and campaign as well as much as you can to show the solidarity against VAW and child abuse and to promote respectful relationships.
